My Home River... NZ

Hey Everyone,

So I've been away from Colorado almost a year now. It really sucks not being able to hang out with all my good friends in the USA, but especially the ones in Colorado. I've been back in my home Country of New Zealand now for almost a year after a epic winter in Crested Butte last year and a even better spring. I've also had a bit of a break from my kayak as well...

This was the result of being slightly burnt out on Kayaking (i've been paddling almost non stop since I was 7, so that's about 14 years now) and a combination of a bad ear, lack of money and issues with staying in America.

After two winters in a row and a little spring cali action in the middle I have spent a summer here in NZ as the Operations Manager for my Parents Rafting Company and been able to do a bunch of Kayaking as well! It feels good to be back in my Burn!!!

Anyway so after a summer of Rafting and a few Kayak trips with friends, I'm heading to the South Island for the winter to Learn how to Skydive and get a lot of skiing done.
But before I left I got to go on a sweet trip down the best section of the river I grew up on, the Mohaka. Unfortunetly the river is the lowest I've ever seen it right now and the rapids were pretty average, but the Scenary is amazing and we had fun anyway.

the videos a bit long 11:49 and doesn't have much action but I had heaps of fun making it... hope you enjoy it.
